New Beginnings

This year is a new beginning for me.  It's been an up, down, all around kind of life for the past 6 years. Not having great experiences in the "work world" after grad school, I have given it up to pursue an adventure of the heart.  I have two friends taking their own adventure sailing in a 28 ft. sailing boat down the pacific coast to their ultimate destination of the Virgin Islands to start a new life, (not for the faint of heart).  And so why not me? My adventure will be not quite as exciting and physically and mentally challenging as wrestling with the nature of the rough seas, but it will be one in which I push, seek, and pull, to find the greatness of my life.

So, as I sit here with my tea for one pondering my life adventure, I decide I will write a blog about it. My adventure of the heart.  I will seek to follow the creative flow of life that springs from my heart - all things that fill me up and make me smile.  And so I start today, I take a vow to myself, to create a life that is balanced with all that I need to sustain each day with happiness.  

My first creative venture, is crafting.  Today I am making flowers (from material) to make headbands for little ones.  With my sister pregnant with a girl (whom I nicknamed Lil Pepsi Cola) I have found a creative well for all things girly to sew and craft for her. She will be my inspiration and soon to be model of all completed work.  I'm so looking forward to it. Here's to a new beginning of creative adventure.
